Closed Tasks:

DIGM Showcase Slide Deck First Draft: Entire Team

Due Date: May 8th

Description: For this task, our team has used our brainstorming sessions to consolidate our ideas into an initial slideshow deck skeleton which will serve as the bedrock to build out our designs and content going forward

Takeaways:

  • Our slideshow is currently undesigned and at this time is only initially blocked out for content and flow purposes.

  • We aim to dive into full design mode of the slideshow after we receive final feedback from our classmates and professors.

  • We have also created a SLIDESHOW SCRIPT doc in order to organize all out speaker notes and make it easy to refine and edit how we will all deliver our remarks.

Final Expo Poster: Nikki

Due Date: May 8th

Description: After gaining feedback, this week we finalized our Expo poster designs for submission.

Takeaways:

  • Content was resized and adjusted to fit the layout more naturally.

  • Shapes and branding were adjusted to make the poster more vibrant and clean.

  • The QR code works and connects to the Juncture promotional site.

Instagram Post Draft: Jill

Due Date: May 8th

Description: For this task, our designers used our existing branding to create an initial instagram post draft.

Takeaways:

  • This draft focuses on overall design, copy, and tying in design motifs to create a cohesive story.

  • We begin with our main feature of automatically finding a time, then highlight other features that enhance the social experience of our app.

  • We’re also planning to add animations to the sequence for the final deliverable, but wanted feedback on the draft before starting animations.

User Journey Filming: Entire Team

Due Date: April 26th

Description: For this task, this weekend our entire team will help out with filming efforts as we gather all the necessary footage needed to edit together our user journey video.

Takeaways:

  • Filming was largely successful and while we didn't get every shot perfect, we successfully gathered the footage and assets we needed to create a solid user story video according to our initial script.

QA Testing Resolved Issues: Anuj & Leah

Due Date: N/A

Description: This task represents the major bugs that were resolved by our developers between this and last week's status post. Other bugs were resolved during this period, but we wanted to highlight these ones as we felt they were the most significant.

Bugs Fixed:

  • Notification and Availability Indicator: Previously, when receiving a notification in Juncture, there was no indicator on the notification button on the bottom bar which did not align with design. Now, a green dot highlights the notification button to increase clarity.

  • Additionally, the app now shows "You're available" in green when users can attend an event, or “you’re not available" in red when they have conflicts, replacing the "Invited" status

  • Today's Date Indicator, Month View: In order to align better with the designs, the month view calendar now highlights today’s date. This is to ensure that the user does not get lost when they are navigating the calendar.

  • Preferred Date and Time: In order to ensure our main offering is functional we solved a bug so now when a user selects specific date and time ranges, the available slots will be filtered accordingly.

Open Tasks:

Showcase Slide Deck 2nd Draft: Entire Team

Due Date: May 15th

Description: For this task, based on status post feedback of our slide deck's flow, our team will continue to ideate.

Takeaways:

  • Currently we aim to dive deep into creating our visuals and designs to make this deck feel wholly as a seamless extension of Juncture's brand.

  • We intend to further ideate and add potential light animation where effective in order to polish things to the best degree possible in our remaining time.

Demo Preparation: Entire Team

Due Date: May 15th

Description: For this task, our team is continuing to ideate on our demo flow and have begun crafting copy & visual assets that we will have present at our booth on showcase day.

Takeaways:

  • Currently we have a rough script/pamphlet outline created that will be present for attendees to aid them during their demo process.

  • Furthermore we have coordinated with Team Mend to conduct a mock "expo simulation" in order to stress test our flow and make sure everything goes as expected before final pre showcase revisions.

  • We intend to request additional monitors to show off our features in "sizzle reels" at our booth.

User Journey Video First Draft: Durando

Due Date: May 15th

Description: The team has begun preliminary compositing/editing efforts on the user story video in Premiere Pro in order to develop our final user story clip.

Takeaways:

  • Editing has been time consuming and difficult as some footage is imperfect which shrinks my flexibility to make a better end product.

  • We have contacted John Avarese and he has agreed to help the team with scoring and sound composition once we are satisfied with out final cut.

  • Ultimately we are still on pace to have this deliverable finished on time.

Ongoing QA Testing: Entire Team

Due Date: May 31st

Description: For this task, our team is continuing to conduct comprehensive QA testing where we try to discover bugs, design inconsistencies, and others issues in order to polish our MVP build and work out any major kinks before the senior showcase.

Takeaways:

  • Since the last status post we have made major progress in progressing through all QA issues.

  • As of now 57 bugs have been resolved and 12 remain outstanding (none being critical or high).

  • All of the remaining bugs revolve around final small features requests.

New Tasks:

Instagram Post Final: Jill

Due Date: May 15th

Description: After gathering feedback from today's status post, our team will conduct final polish on our Instagram post prior to submission.

Showcase Expo Visual Assets: Jill, Nikki

Due Date: May 20th

Description: Once our demo flow and vision is fully refined, our designers will create branded assets of our materials so that everything attendees see at our booth contributes to Juncture's brand image.

Description: After receiving feedback on our first user journey video draft, our team will do some final ideation and polish before submitting our final clip.
